Anyone who has this code can look up your name, photos, and a short bio. You won't be told when someone looks. A chapter's answers only become visible to them once you've both completed that chapter yourselves and you've marked it Public below, marking something Public never shows it to someone who hasn't done the same section themselves, it just means you're comfortable with it being shown once they have.
Who You Are, Your Deen, Your Values, and Interests and Hobbies default to Public; everything else defaults to Private. Either way, nothing shows via lookup until the other person has completed that same chapter too. Intimacy, Finances, and At Your Worst are the exceptions, and always stay private regardless of this setting. A small number of individual questions elsewhere (ones that would name a real detail about a child, rather than ask your views on parenting) also always stay private, even if you mark that chapter Public.
Questions you've marked essential while answering ("This one really matters to me", above any question) show here confirmed. We also suggest a few Core questions worth reviewing. Nothing is applied automatically; check a suggestion and save to confirm it.
Pool Match looks for mutual compatibility among other members and the matchmaker's pool, and can email you when someone clears your own threshold for them, and you clear theirs for you. On by default. Turn it off below any time if you'd rather only be considered through a matchmaker introduction or a direct pairing.
Some members have been confirmed as known attendees of their masjid by an admin. If this matters to you, you can limit Pool Match to show only verified attendees. Only a small number of members are verified so far. Turning this on may show very few or no candidates until more are.

Some couples find it helpful to know early on whether both sides are open to an honest conversation about real financial circumstances (income, savings, debts) once things are serious. This is your own stated openness to that conversation, nothing more. Before You Meet doesn't collect, verify, or share any financial information, and nothing here commits you to disclosing anything specific. That conversation, if it happens, happens directly between you and the other person, entirely off this platform.
People who know you well enough to vouch for you. An imam or mentor, a family member, a longtime family friend, an employer, or a community elder. We'll email them a one-click confirmation link; no account needed on their side. Only the confirmed count is ever shown to anyone else, never their names or contact details.

This permanently removes your identity and answers from Before You Meet. Your name, bio, photos, and every questionnaire answer are erased and cannot be recovered. You won't be able to sign back into this account.
Anyone you've ever connected with, including a past connection that's already ended, will keep a private snapshot of your shared Results: chapter scores, essentials, and any shared cherries, but never your raw answers.
